What Ocean City does to a window
Ocean City glass takes salt from both sides of the island. Oceanfront homes in the Gardens, along the boardwalk blocks and down the South End take spray straight off the Atlantic on every east wind and dry a white film within a week of a cleaning, heaviest in a nor'easter when the spray carries across West Avenue to the bay. On the bay side the homes in the Riviera, Merion Park, the Gold Coast and along Bay Avenue take a brackish haze off the lagoons and Great Egg Harbor Bay instead, and the boat traffic out of the bayfront marinas adds an exhaust film to anything facing the water.
The off-season is no break. The 9th Street bridge, West Avenue and Bay Avenue are brined before every winter storm, and the spray off passing traffic dries into a white crust on the lower glass of homes near the main roads. A northeast blow in January leaves salt and blowing sand on every pane facing the beach, and the sand fills the sliding-door tracks on the elevated houses. Spring brings pollen off the mainland pines on a west wind, and the summer rental turnover on the duplexes and condos means sliders and deck glass get handled every week and never see a proper cleaning.

Oceanfront and bayfront homes in Ocean City do best on an every-two-months plan, and oceanfront glass often wants monthly in the windy months. How often should windows be cleaned in Ocean City?
Every two months for oceanfront and bayfront homes in Ocean City, and monthly for oceanfront glass in the windy months. Do you work in condo and HOA buildings?
Yes. We work in the oceanfront condo buildings along the boardwalk and Wesley Avenue with front-desk or fob access, and in the bayfront condo and townhome associations along Bay Avenue. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
