What Atlantic City does to a window
Atlantic City glass takes salt from the ocean on one side and the back bays on the other. The oceanfront towers along the Boardwalk and the homes in Lower Chelsea and the South Inlet take spray straight off the Atlantic on every east wind and dry a white film within a week of a cleaning, heaviest in a nor'easter when the spray carries across Pacific and Atlantic Avenues to the bay side. In Venice Park, Chelsea Heights, Bungalow Park and the Marina District the haze comes off the lagoons and Absecon Inlet instead, lighter but constant, and the boat traffic adds an exhaust film to anything facing the water.
Winter is no break on the island. Atlantic Avenue, Pacific Avenue and the Expressway are brined before every storm, and the spray off passing traffic dries into a white crust on the lower glass of any building near the road that rain does not rinse off. A northeast blow in January leaves salt and blowing sand on every pane facing the beach, and the high-rise balconies catch it worst. Spring brings pollen off the mainland pines and oaks on a west wind, and the humid summer grows mildew in the shaded corners of the frames and inside the screens.

After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Atlantic City?
Every two months for oceanfront condos and the homes in Lower Chelsea and the Inlet, and monthly for oceanfront glass in the windy months. Quarterly for bayside homes in Venice Park, Chelsea Heights and Bungalow Park, which keeps the lagoon haze, road brine and mildew under control. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in condo and HOA buildings?
Yes. We work in the Ocean Club, the Enclave, Ocean Towers and the other oceanfront condo buildings along the Boardwalk with front-desk or fob access, and in the Venice Park and Marina District townhome associations. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
